                               Aunt Arctic

Aunt Arctic.

Aunt Arctic is the news reporter for the well-known newspaper in Club Penguin, The Penguin Times. She is responsible for keeping all penguins around the island to be informed about the daily news. She is such a skillful writer that she even has her own column, where she makes it her duty to answer any troubling questions her fellow citizens might have. Her section of The Penguin Times is entitled Ask Aunt Arctic. She does not waddle around Club Penguin like Rock hopper. She is a key character in Mission #1 when she had lost her green and purple puffles that had to be returned. The purple puffle had came to her before they were available in the pet shop. She is one of the famous penguins who have not appeared in public.

Aunt Arctic Impostor

Once a very successful penguin impostor of Aunt Arctic going by the name of “Aunt Artic” logged on to the Mammoth server but was reported by multiple penguins.

Aunt Arctic’s Secret

In the Ask Aunt Arctic column of The Penguin Times, there is a small picture of Aunt Arctic. It has also a rumor that Aunt Arctic is the Director of the P.S.A. because if you hover your mouse over her eyeglasses, they will turn black just like sunglasses that Secret Agents wear! It is also said that in the Night Club that the second flashing square says “Aunt Arctic is head of the PSA.” in Morse code.

Aunt Arctic’s Name

Aunt Arctic’s name comes from a pun of Antarctica, the island many people believe Club Penguin Island is situated next to. Her name is also comes from Agony Aunt, the term used for advice column writers in real-world newspapers.

Aunt Arctic and Ninjas

In a recent edition of The Penguin Times, Aunt Arctic answered the first question about ninjas ever published in her paper.

What Uncle Arctic may look like

*  Trivia

*

Several penguins like to pretend that an “Uncle Arctic” exists. Though he is a fictional character, he has indeed been photographed. Many pretend that Uncle Arctic is Aunt Arctic’s husband.

Aunt Arctic is the only penguin on Club Penguin who has freckles.

Aunt Arctic is a member.

Aunt Arctic is one of the famous penguins who have not appeared in public.

She is the first person you talk to in Club Penguin: Elite Penguin Force.

                     Club penguin band

The Club Penguin Band is Club Penguin’s band. They are made up of four penguins. There once was a scavenger hunt when penguins had to find the Band’s instruments. Once players found the instruments, their penguin was rewarded with a Player Card background featuring the band. Another background was given out during the Music Jam party when the band went on break. Like Rockhopper, the band members could be seen on random servers signing autographed backgrounds and talking to user penguins.

A bad picture of the band, which resembles more of Penguin Chat 3.

A band resembling the real band.

Penguin Chat 3 Band (PC3 Band)

The Penguin Chat 3 Band as depicted in the only known picture of a Penguin Chat 3 Igloo.

Interestingly, a different group of musical penguins resembling the Club Penguin Band existed in Penguin Chat 3. There were a few differences, listed below:

All of the PC3 Band members were navy blue, the only color available at that time.

There were only three members of this band.

The piano that one of the penguins used was brown, not black.

A flute was never used in the Penguin Chat 3 band.

There is not an acoustic guitar player in the group.

The band played around the clock at the Dance Club. There were not any speakers or disk jockey stations in the room.

In the only known picture of a Penguin Chat 3 Igloo, the PC3 Band is inexplicably depicted as playing in the igloo. They are playing a song called I’ve been delayed by a band called TAS1000.

There is a chance that the PC3 Band might be a prototype of the group we know today, but we cannot be sure. Although, in the fall fair of 2007, the band playing in the pizza parlor resembles the penguin chat 3 band.

Members

The band is made up of four members, they are:

*   Drummer/Flutist: G Billy (Dark Blue)

*   Accordion Player/Pianist: Petey K (Green)

*   Bass Player/Bass: Stompin’ Bob (Red)

*   Guitarist/Ukulele: Franky (Yellow)

Music Jam 2008

The Club Penguin Band made a special appearance at the Music Jam 2008 festival. During that appearance, the band took breaks from playing at the Iceberg and during those breaks individual band members roamed around the island, much like Rockhopper does during his appearances. Penguins who found one or more of the band members could get a special player card background featuring the band.

Trivia

All the current members of the Club Penguin Band, used to work for Shops such as the Pizza Parlour and Pet Shop, and they claim they would have still worked there if they had not become musicians.

During the Winter Luau 2006, 3 penguins were performing at The Nightclub. While two looked like G Billy and Stompin’ Bob, there was an unknown light blue penguin playing the guitar. This penguin could possibly be an ex-member of The Penguin Band, this may also mean Petey K wasn’t part of the band back, indicating he is the second newest band member of The Penguin Band

                  Gary the gadget guy

Some great memories… It demonstrates anything is possible with a dream.

— Gary the Gadget Guy

Gary

Gary’s Player Card

Gary the Gadget Guy (more formally known as Secret Agent G) is Club Penguin‘s inventor and scientist and the owner of the Sport Shop. He likes wearing a white lab coat and his special twisted spectacles, and enjoys eating Fish Dish Pizza, Cheese pizza, and a combination of icing, sugar, hot sauce, jelly beans, and Fish Pizza. He is almost always seen drinking coffee. It’s rumored that fine-tuning the coffee machine to play music while it brewed was one of his first projects.

Gary’s Inventions

Gary has been making inventions since the first day of Club Penguin. Some of his inventions are around the island for normal penguins, but most were put in the Gadget Room, like the Test Chamber and the Crab Translator 3000. Gary ends most of his inventions with a number like 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000, or 5000.

Gary’s Secret

Gary is not the founder/leader of the P.S.A.. His role is somewhat close of what is Q’s from the James Bond movies. He is the genius behind most of the inventions in Club Penguin, and appears in all of the Secret Agent missions.

Autograph

During the 2008 Halloween Party, Gary could be found in the Secret Laboratory signing autographs.

Trivia

The background Gary gave out during Halloween party

Gary the Gadget Guy’s abbreviated name “G” was ovbiously named after the character Q from the James Bond series, who is the covert operations (Gadgets) assistant for Bond.

Gary keeps an impressive collection of Pins on the second floor of the Sport Shop.He is only missing the soccerball pin and all the pins after the rose.

Gary usually ends his inventions with a number.

Gary became a virtual character like Rockhopper and the Club Penguin Band on October 31, 2008. He only appeared in the Secret Lab during the Halloween party. If you found him, you could get a background from him.

Gary is the only penguin with light (non-bushy) eyebrows, and one of the three penguins who have eyebrows.

Gary is a recurring character in the Club Penguin: Elite Penguin Force video game.

Gary has 4 lab coats.

                 Captain Rockhopper

Captain Rockhopper is a wealthy pirate penguin that regularly sails to Club Penguin via the Migrator (usually about every two months or so) accompanied by his red puffle, Yarr. His ship always stays at the Beach. He keeps a journal of his adventures, and sells rare items brought from Rockhopper Island. When he comes to Club Penguin, in the Pirate Catalog, he always gives away a free item. Players can sometimes see Rockhopper in random places in random servers when he lands on Club Penguin. Players can receive a free gift from Rockhopper from his player card. Rockhopper is named after the Southern Rockhopper Penguin. Some penguins used CP Trainer to hack Rockhopper’s account. He has recently docked to the Beach.

History

First Launch

On the 7 of March 2005, Rockhopper finished building his ship, the Migrator and started his adventures.

In this trip, Rockhopper adopted Yarr, discovered Rockhopper Island and found lots of treasures.

On the 13 of October 2006, Rockhopper came back to Club Penguin. He visited the Lighthouse, played a few games and danced at the Night Club.

Red puffles introduction

In December of 2006, Rockhopper introduced red puffles (originally from Rockhopper Island) to Club Penguin and everyone could adopt them.

Book

Rockhopper has written a book, “Rockhopper and the Stowaway“. This story originally came to Club Penguin as a message in a bottle at the Beach. Players can read this book in the Library. Bambadee was introduced to the world here.

New Room

On April 27, Rockhopper came back. The Migrator was decorated for this, and he brought along new items. Also, the Migrator had a new room, the Ship Hold, where the new items were sold.

Mystery of the Boxes

One day, Rockhopper landed on Club Penguin with several boxes. He gave no hint of their contents and placed them in the Lighthouse. It was not until penguins accidentally broke one of the boxes that they learned he was preparing a massive carnival party, known today as the Fall Fair.

Save The Migrator Project

Rockhopper was spotted on January 17, 2008 and it appears the Migrator was hit by an iceberg and his ship is slowly sinking. Rockhopper and Yarr were fine.

On January 23, 2008 Rockhopper’s rowboat arrived at the beach.

On Friday, February 1, 2008, Rockhopper began his journey home in his rowboat. Players could watch him rowing by looking through the telescope at the top of the Lighthouse. Also, a booth appeared on the beach with a sign that says, “Save the Migrator”. It had a map of the island and the crash site spot marked with an X.

Sometime around February 2008 there was a tool box on the Save The Migrator booth, and that was to build Rockhopper’s new ship. And on March 28, 2008 the ship was almost finished and there was a sink on the save the Migrator booth. As of now Rockhopper is coming due to Gary the Gadget Guy‘s new invention, the Flare Flinger 3000. You could see him coming toward Club Penguin at the top of the Lighthouse.

Party and New Rooms

On the 25 of April 2008, Rockhopper and Yarr had a celebration party and they opened the Crow’s Nest.

On April 28, he hid the Key to his Captain’s Quarters for penguins to find. To get the Key, visit the Book Room, located above the Coffee Shop. Go to the Library, and select The Journal of Captain Rockhopper. Flip to the very last page and you will see the key.

The Key lets you go into the Captain’s Quarters when the Migrator is docked on the Beach. It also doubles as a nifty pin.

Summer Events

In June 2008, Rockhopper’s ship was seen in the Telescope, coming back to the island.

He docked on June 27, 2008 and brought with him a Grey Pirate Coat, Pirate Dress, Flamingo furniture item, Stuffed Parrot as a free item, and Ship-in-a-bottle furniture item.

Rockhopper returned on August 9, after being seen in the telescope.

There was a paper boat hunt, each part containing a piece of a Migrator blueprint which created a blueprint background.

On October 9 Rockhopper’s ship was visible.

A Possible Relative

A comparison someone drew of Rockhopper and Sensei.

Rockhopper may have a possible living relative. He was the only known Penguin to have a beard and bushy eyebrows up until November 4th. A Penguin, named Sensei showed up on the Dojo Exterior. He had a beard and bushy eyebrows like Rockhopper, and Sensei explored places like Rockhopper.

Trivia

Rockhopper’s favorite beverage is Cream Soda, because there is a few barrels of them in the Ship Hold and on Club Penguin during his pirate parties. He has also been quoted as saying “Arrgh! Cream Soda be the drink for me.”

It is rumored that Rockhopper will have a female companion with him named Miss Hopper. She may be his daughter or wife. And there is another one named Peggy Hopper. She is peach and has a red bandana.

Note that in his player card there is no “make friend” button (instead there is a winking button which if you click on you get a background), “report” button, or “find friend” button. If you click on the “Go to house” button, it goes to the Migrator.

Only Rockhopper can make friends with other penguins. If you are a friend of Rockhopper he will not appear on your friends list. He will visit you. This is valid for every penguin except for Billybob.

Rockhopper is seen on different servers everyday. He goes on a time schedule.

Some penguins get creative and bear Rockhopper’s free clothes and find him and ask to be part of his crew. Usually rockhopper replies no. If you talk like a pirate he says yes.

On September 18 2008, Rockhopper requested in the Penguin Times for penguins to dress up and talk like pirates on the following day. This is based on ‘International Talk Like A Pirate Day‘, a parodic event in the USA which occurs every September 19th since 1995.

Before Rockhopper put his key in the back of his journal, there was a rumor that the key didnt exist, but, if you asked him where the key was, he would say “Arrr, The key be under me hat!”.

                               Sensei

Sensei, formerly known as ?????? is a penguin that appeared when the Dojo got damaged by lightning, returning from “a long journey”. He used to be seen at the Dojo Exterior, but now he can be found inside the Dojo, sitting on the cushion next to the variable-colour pot. He has the color Gray, which is not currently available to players and appears to be a very old Penguin. He has a small white beard (Possibly he is related to Rockhopper), thick white eyebrows, and a conical straw hat. He was seen digging out the Dojo. He later revealed he would launch a card game for training Ninjas, known as “Card Jitsu”. His name was revealed to be “Sensei” a Japanese word for ‘teacher’, implying he is the ninja trainer. Apparently, he said that came over from far away to return, which means he has been to Club Penguin before. He presently is handing out Starter Cards in the Dojo to players training to become ninjas. He awards penguins colored belts for their progress in the Card Jitsu. Also, once players get a black belt, Sensei can be challenged and if one wins, they become a true Ninja. Sensei will always pick the opposite card of what you pick unless you are a black belt.

Interview

In the Penguin Times Issue #163, the Club Penguin Times interviewed Sensei and he revealed some things about Ninjas and himself.

The Club Penguin Times interviews Sensei.

A Possible Relative

A comparison someone drew of Rockhopper and Sensei.

Rockhopper could be a possible relative of Sensei, seeing as they both have beards and bushy eyebrows. They both seem to like to explore too.

Trivia

Sensei is one of the two only known penguins who has a real beard and real bushy eyebrows. The other one is Rockhopper.

Sensei is the only penguin to have the color gray, which is not available to other penguins.

“Sensei” means teacher in Japanese.

He has every card in Card-Jitsu.

Sensei actually built the Dojo.

Sensei started the Dig Out the Dojo program.

Sensei could possibly be related to Rockhopper, seeing as he has much in common with him.

Sensei was first seen wearing a jacket when he was on the Dojo Exterior and when he was known as “??????“, probably since it was so cold outside in the mountains of Club Penguin. He now resides in the Dojo, and is seen as not wearing a jacket.

Sensei actually ridicules Sanity Penguin everytime someone asks him how to become a Ninja. He quotes his infamous myth of standing in the Dojo for thirty minutes straight to become a Ninja.

Sensei usually speaks in haikus, a type of Japanese poetry. The most common form of haikus have three lines, with five syllables in the first line, seven in the second, and five again in the third, and final, line.

Sensei only fully shows his eyes in Card Jitsu.

He used to be thought to be called Pen Chi, the master of Ninjas.
